"Word War" is an exhibition dedicated to the themes of propaganda, fakery, doublethink, and ambiguity. We underestimate words, yet words can be used as weapons for manipulation and deception. Words allow us to create a distorted reality of interpretations, thereby avoiding the awareness and discussion of current events. Through words, the author seeks to expose the mechanisms of manipulation underlying political and social rhetoric. Each piece in the exhibition is a visual and textual commentary on current events and situations where words have played a key role in shaping public opinion.
"Word War" explores how distorted words can be restored to their true meaning. The author offers alternative interpretations of language, restoring the authentic meaning of words that have been distorted by the media and political figures. This is not just an exhibition; it's a challenge for society to rethink the influence of language on our reality and the value of words in shaping our views and beliefs.
The Word War exhibition will take place at the ICEBERG/MiCT gallery, located at Brunnenstrasse 9, Berlin 10119. Opening and artist reception on December 2nd from 14:00 to 21:00. Curatorial tours on December 3rd every hour from 14:00 to 18:00.
