This work is created in the ancient technique of encaustic, with layers of wax texture and oxidized metal giving an intense rusty hue. Traces of destruction have frozen on the surface of the wood - drops of coagulated blood, rusted broken drones, mine fragments stuck in the ground.
But this painting is not only about external destruction. It conveys the viscous, almost endless flow of time - each day of the war feels like the previous one, inevitably monotonous. The artist reproduces the exhausting rhythm of life spent in underground shelters and constant fear.
