As fairy tales reliably inform us…  simply by gazing at a silver platter with the aid of a shining apple, we can glimpse the past, the future, or the present. Now, regardless of where we look, all we see is the end, prompting us to question what exactly we are witnessing. Is it the end of war or the end of peace, the end of aggression or the end of humanity? It is both despair and hope at the same time.
