The SPEECH(LESS) project is a series of hand-embroidered flags dedicated to political prisoners in Russia. LESS is put in brackets because many brave people in Russia are not silent and continue to fight. The artists chose flags as the form for the project because they liked this accessible way to express support by hanging a flag in a window. In the beginning, Polina and Maria hung flags in their friends' windows and in phone booths.

One of regime's goals is for those who have left the country because of its criminal war to get lost, dissolve, and be silent as if they never existed. The artists want to contribute to preventing this from happening.

The Pomidor group has been working with the socio-political context since 2018. After moving from Moscow to London, the artists continue to speak about what affects them. Russia is not an isolated island somewhere far away and not a separate planet. Two years ago, it became clear that everything happening in the country extends beyond its borders and affects the entire world.
